Skateboarding was the most popular in 1963 but died out in 1965, most likely due to the fact that skateboard providers cared more about quantity over quality. But in 1975 skateboarding became popular again. After Frank Nasworthy invented polyurethane wheels. The invention of polyurethane wheels was significant because the new wheels provided better flexibility and traction, they are also more resilient so they can last longer than the old wheels.
